What is Maximum Average CPC and How Does it Apply to My Campaigns?
When setting up an Outbrain campaign, it is important to determine campaign parameters that both maximize budget and performance. Our recommendation for best performance is to set a campaign budget, and let our algorithms learn who is engaging and when, to inform the AI-powered bidding strategy that will drive performance throughout the campaign flight.
However, if you’d like to take a more conservative approach and guide the algorithm with some bidding restrictions, Maximum Average CPC enables you to do just that. Less restrictive than bid capping, but more conservative than forgoing capping completely, this parameter allows our algorithm more flexibility to increase spend when warranted, which will enhance CPA and scale, while still remaining within the allowed average.
