If you’re new to the Amplify dashboard, however, you may be wondering how some of these features can be directly utilized in your campaigns.
Fear not — here are three easy tips to get you using the Amplify dashboard like a pro in no time.
1. Customize Your Columns
Customizing your columns is a super quick way to prioritize the KPIs most important to you. Perhaps you’re only running one URL within a campaign and don’t need to see the ‘URL’ column; maybe you’re running a video campaign and want to include all video metrics in your columns. Play around with the columns feature so that your data works for you!
🎓Pro tip: When in the “By Content” view, customize your columns so that “Campaign” is included. This makes sure that when you export from your “By Content” view, you can efficiently analyze how your creative is performing across different campaigns.
2. Befriend Your Filters
I can’t express enough how much I love the Filters feature in our dashboard. This function makes it incredibly easy to sort and analyze your data however you need, and its use cases are extensive. Play around with your filters to find what works best for you.
🎓Pro tip: This is a three for one deal! Below are three pro tip scenarios:
- Your campaign has been live for a month, and you launched new ads in this campaign last week. You want to see how the new creative compares to the creative you launched with. Use the Filter → Date Added feature to analyze only the performance of your newly uploaded ads.
- You are testing dynamic headlines targeting “city” versus “region” in your campaign and want to see how performance compares between these headlines. In the “By Content” view within a particular campaign, use the Filter → Content Title feature to compare performance between different headlines.
- You want to see how performance between iOS and Android compares by device. Go to the “By OS” tab, select Filters → Platform Name to efficiently compare performance between operating system on each device.
3. Utilize Your Chart
One of the great things about the Amplify dashboard is you have the option to dig deep into the data, or to view it all from the high level. For a high level layout, look no further than the Amplify chart feature. This chart gives you a clear overview of trends over time for your campaigns or content. Toggle with the filter options and the date ranges to view your data however you choose.
🎓Pro tip: Your campaign KPI is to drive efficient traffic and decrease your CPC over the course of the campaign. But how do you know if the darn thing is working? Select “Avg. CPC” and “Clicks” as your filters, and view this data in either Daily, Weekly, or Monthly views to see campaign trends over time.
