Welcome to our Privacy Center
Outbrain is operating under the Teads brand following the merger of Outbrain and Teads. Although Outbrain operates as Teads, you may still be utilising legacy Outbrain technology (via our Teads Amplify and Teads Engage services) or the ads you are seeing may still be powered by legacy Outbrain technology which continues to be utilised on media partners pages and advertiser partner pages. You will know you are interacting with legacy Outbrain technology if you click on the AdChoices logo on ads served by Teads and you are directed to this User Privacy Policy and/or the Interest Profile which allows you to exercise your privacy rights.
If you interact with ads powered by Teads technology (you will know this if you click on the AdChoices logo and it directs you to the Teads User Policy), you can find out more about how Teads uses your data on the Teads User Privacy Policy. You can also opt out of personalised ads served by Teads via the Teads opt out page.
Below, you will find privacy policies relevant to the various ways you may still interact with Outbrain legacy technology. These policies set out how we may use and process your personal data.
- User Privacy Policy – You are a “user” when you visit a website or application of one of our partners (website or application publisher) and where such partner is utilising legacy Outbrain technology.
- Business Partners Privacy Policy – You are a “business partner” if you are a media owner, advertiser or agency who contracts with Outbrain to utilise Teads Amplify or Teads Engage services.
- Site visitors Privacy Policy – You are a “site visitor” if you visit Outbrain websites and digital properties, such as www.outbrain.com or any of our other sites (e.g., www.zemanta.com/).

User Privacy Policy
You are considered a User of Outbrain services when you visit a website or application of one of Outbrain’s partners (website or application publisher) where the Outbrain technology is implemented.
For example, if you visit https://news.sky.com/uk or www.cnn.com, the Outbrain widget is implemented on those websites. You know you are engaging with our widget when it is labelled with a text referencing Outbrain (e.g., “Smartfeed” or “Recommended by Outbrain”).
Example of the widget is available below:
If you click on the AdChoices logo within the widget, you will see a detailed information notice that enables you to navigate to Outbrain’s Interest Profile, which provides information on the interest categories we think you might be interested in, which websites you have visited where Outbrain technology is installed and which device and browser is used, and the ability to opt out (or Do Not Sell) or withdraw your consent from interest based advertisements.
