How close are consumers cutting it?

With just a few days left before many nations celebrate Mother’s Day, we’re sure you’ve already come up with a superb, unique, and loving gift to celebrate how much your mom means to you. Yet it seems like some of us aren’t quite as conscientious.

We took a look at our 2013 data to see where people accessed stories about Mother’s Day gifts. As it turns out, when it comes to gifts for Mom, smartphone consumption increases by 45%! Looks like kids may be neglecting their duties, as last-minute, in-store Mother’s Day gift searches are on the rise.

So, marketers take note. While it’s never too late to target those last-minute, ne’er do well procrastinators, the best way to tell Mom, “I love you” is by optimizing your content for mobile.
