Never Miss Content Marketing World (This Week in Content Marketing)

| Juan Martinez

No event encapsulates the power of our industry better than Content Marketing World, the annual summit that took place last week in Columbus, Ohio. Although the conference is still gaining momentum (about 1000 people attended), the energy and enthusiasm exhibited by CMW attendees could not be stronger. I attempted to transport some of that energy to you in a blog post recapping a content discovery panel that included Outbrain’s SVP of Strategy, Gilad de Vries. But I also thought I’d use this space to include some of the best articles that highlight what went down during our industry’s premiere gathering.

5 Key Takeaways From Content Marketing World 2012  — Marketo Blog

My favorite takeaway from this recap: “The Most Powerful Thing in Content Marketing is the Brand Narrative.” Also, “Have Sex with Data” is pretty cool too, but I’m not sure my mom would approve.

This piece is good, old-fashioned live events coverage of a session featuring Jay Baer, CEO of content and social marketing company Convince & Convert. The piece quotes Baer as saying, ““Know why you make content. More content is being created; but does it equal more success or just more noise? Remember that content helps achieve business objectives, not content objectives.” Nice.

This piece features a brief recap of the event and slides from CC’s session, which was definitely one of the highlights of the event.
